Here are a few ways to save searches and create alerts depending on which platform and database you are searching.
In EBSCO databases (Education Source, ERIC, etc.), you can save searches by creating an account. Please click here for instructions! You can also create a Search Alert to provide automatic e-mail notification when new search results become available. Please click here to learn more!
In SAGE Journals, you can save searches by creating an account and clicking save. To access saved searches, click Access/profile, View profile, My saved searches. Please click here to learn how to set up search alerts in SAGE.
In JSTOR, please click here for a tutorial on how to save items. Unfortunately, JSTOR is unable to save searches or create alerts.
These accounts are different than your GMercyU account (and can be different passwords) but you must be signed into these accounts first to save your searches.
We recommend RefWorks as a citation manager since you can save citations from multiple platforms (as opposed to saving the articles in multiple accounts). For example, EBSCO, SAGE, JSTOR, and even Google Scholar results can be imported into RefWorks. Please find tutorials here!
