First, you might want to try searching in the CINAHL Complete database. Go to the Library's homepage at gmercyu.edu/library and scroll down to Databases A to Z (under the pull-down menu Resources). You will see the database CINAHL Complete in the alphabetical list.
Once you are in CINAHL Complete, click on CINAHL Subject Headings at the top of the screen. Type in the name of your nursing theorist (last name, first name) and click Browse. The name of nursing theorist's model should appear below. Click on New Search at the top of the screen and then type in the name of the nursing model in the first search box and click search.
The Library also has many books on the nursing theorists with chapters on specific nursing models. On the Library's homepage, click on KeissCat, the Library Catalog (under the pull-down menu Library Catalogs). Type in the name of the nursing model (that you found in CINAHL) or the name of the theorist (last name, first name) and click search. Be sure to write down the call number for the book you want in order to find it on the shelf.
